Hello bloggy friends! I hope Monday treated everyone well and that Tuesday proves to be even better. Thanks for all the great feedback on better poses for my blog. I really do love the comments everyone leaves and even though I don't always have time to write back, I do read all of them!
So let's talk about pockets: basically, if a skirt or a dress has pockets, I will probably buy it. I don't know what it is, but I think it's because when I am in a social setting I sometimes feel weird if I don't have anything to do with my hands- the solution? Pockets.
Is there a detail or characteristic that you love and look for when you go shopping?

Ok really - I think we are long lost besties. First awkward turtle and now this - today I am wearing a skirt over a dress. Well actually it's a tunic...it's a tunic-dress. It's a tunic-dress with a skirt over top. You get my point.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I love this look!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pocket obsessed as well. If a skirt has pockets, it's a winner in my books. I love the ribbon belt on your skirt, very pretty.
ReplyDeletePockets are a godsend! That is why I love anthro dresses so much, they are gorgeous, different to the high street and have pockets for me to hide my hands in when I feel awkward!
ReplyDeleteYou just gave me a great idea for an outfit post! Thanks so much for the inspiration! And I'm totally all about pockets. I feel like I have big, awkward hands so the easier to hide them the better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Your dress under the skirt looks so pretty and so does your pose!

love the way you styled this!! looks so pretty and feminine.
ReplyDeleteLove pockets too! I bought a prom dress in high school based mainly on pockets :)
ReplyDeletei'm in love with skirt pockets too and will probably end up buying it for that reason too!! this outfit is absolutely lovely and it's great when you can get multiple outfits out of a dress!

Hee hee, I am perpetually awkward in my posing too, so trust me, you are NOT alone in this! :) Pretty outfits, too, btw.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about pockets- I often think that any worthwhile designer should be putting pockets in skirts. I have an active job and I love skirts, but without pockets I find it difficult to balance doing work and like, holding my ipod in my hand!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog! Can't wait to see how you remix that top. It's so cute. I also loved yesterday's polka dots. Happy remixing!
ReplyDeleteI love everything with pockets too! Love this skirt with the floral top.
ReplyDeleteI am also a die-hard pocket fan. Love this look on you, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm a pocket girl myself. Love this skirt, and it looks great paired with that top pattern.

are you kidding me with that skirt! soooo cute!
ReplyDeletehello, fellow remixer! i stumbled upon your blog from dashdotdotty.blogspot.com and i had to start following you based on the following 3 things:
ReplyDelete1. we both have the anthro gifted skirt and included it in the 30 for 30
2. i also wore a dress underneath a skirt on the same day, AND
3. i'm posing the same way in practically all my photos!
you look great in your remixes. now i have to go comment on liz's blog :)
so so great, love this outfit! and i love what you're doing with your closet :) i'm seriously starting to consider starting the 30x30 remix....hmm, i should. i really should.
ReplyDeleteI love wearing dresses as tops. I've been using that trick in my 30 for 30 posts too! Helps give a lot more options for the remix. Love your skirt btw :)
