Shellac Nails
Hello Friends!

I cannot believe that Christmas Eve is in two days. It's weird, because normally I cram to get everything done last minute but this year I finished everything early. What. a. concept... Any-who, all I have left to do is hang out and enjoy the Holiday Season. Oh and work, I have to do that too :)

Yesterday was such a treat, one of my favorite co-workers (she's probably the nicest and most genuine person at my company) took me to this little cafe that was playing Christmas music in the background and we sat in front of the fireplace to eat lunch and she taught me how to knit.  It was so much fun and really put me in the Christmas spirit.

Then, after work I met up with my mom and we got manicures and pedicures- my fav! I usually only get pedicures for special occasions and manicures about once a year, but since I have been hearing about this new Shellac Nail thing, we both wanted to give it a try. If you haven't heard of it yet it is this type of nail polish that supposedly lasts about 2-3 weeks and does not chip, crack, or wear off. Today it looks great (as it should) but I will let you know how it holds up through the holidays.

Happy Wednesday!

Six Questions

Hello Friends!

A few weeks ago Samantha, this really lovely blogger who writes "The Brunette One" asked me to fill out a short survey and then pass it on to other bloggers. Unfortunately, I have been so busy with work and holiday happenings that I have not been able to do it until tonight- but here I am...finally :)

Also, if you guys have not seen her blog before you should definitely take a peek! She is adorable and after looking at her blog I immediately added it to my follow list.

SIX QUESTIONS SURVEY

1. What were you doing ten years ago?
I was just starting out in high school! The fact that high school was 10yrs ago makes me want to cry but it is really interesting how many things are still the same for me; I am still trying to figure out who I am and what I want to do with my life. A lot of things have changed too, like I am finally comfortable in my own skin... and there's a lot less drama :)

2. What are 5 things on your to-do list today?
- Find a stocking stuffer for my brother
- Get a manicure and pedicure (I literally only get them like every 6 months so I am VERY excited)

- Clean room and organize closet
- Finish wrapping x-mas presents
- Come up with a more interesting list of things to-do today

3. Snacks you enjoy?
Sugar! I am such a dessert/candy/munchies fiend that I am shocked I am not diabetic by now. I know it's terrible but I think it runs in my genes because my dad is the same way. I also really love popcorn!

4. Places you’ve lived:
California
-Diamond Bar (SoCal)
-Danville (NorCal)
-San Francisco
Las Vegas, NV
Fort Collins, CO

5. What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?
-Travel outside of the United States both alone (Eat Pray Love style) and then with friends and family. I am thinking Greece, Ireland, Germany, Italy...
- Pay off my brothers student loans and my parents house
- Buy one of the huge houses I have driven by in San Francisco trying to guess what celebrity lives there. I would hire someone to decorate it in Pottery Barn :)
- Donate money to organizations that support woman like Dress for Success or Love is Respect
- Go back to school and get another degree or an MA

6. People you want to know more about?
My blogging friends! So here's what I am thinking- if you have the time I would love it if you could answer these 6 Questions on your own blog post and then write a comment letting me know you have done so, or link back to my blog. This way I will know if you have participated and we can all get to know each other a little more :)

Look forward to hearing your answers!

Fresh Start Monday

Gifted Blouse, Old Navy Necklace, Gap Skirt, Gifted Shoes

Hello Friends!

Do you notice anything different? My brother helped me design a new look for my blog, and I love it! He is so much better at HTML, CSS, and all that web stuff than I am, and since he is home from college for the holidays I asked him to help me :) I had no idea how long all of this stuff takes though and we were literally up until 4:15am on Saturday (or technically Sunday?) working on it, but I feel it was well worth it... I hope you all like it too!

I wanted to point out a few new items on my blog. First, I added a Formspring account so if you have any questions please feel free to ask them here. You can also find the link on the right hand side of my blog. Sometimes it's hard to get to all the questions you guys have so this will make sure I get to them and in a timely manner :)

Also, I added a social media bar at the bottom of each post so if you would like to re-post anything I have in my blog it will now be easier than ever!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Hello Ladies!

I am so excited to be wearing my old clothes again :) Although I loved the challenge it's nice to be able to have a bit more freedom :)

A few posts ago I asked you guys what the best gift is that you have ever received and you all had some great stories about babies and wedding rings...which got me thinking, I wonder what the best gifts you have given are?

This question is exciting for me because I really enjoy giving others gifts. In fact, I'm totally one of those people who tries to find the PERFECT thing for someone and I usually stress out about it for like a month before I even need to start looking.

Plus, I figured the holidays are fast approaching and I thought it would be fun to share our best gift ideas to help each other figure out what to give our friends and loved ones this year :)

So let's hear it ladies, tell us about your the best gift you have ever given someone!

30 for 30: Countdown- 3...2...

Old Navy White long Sleeve Shirt and Sweater, Express Jeans, Target Boots, H&M Brooch

Hello all you LOVELY bloggers out there!

I hope you all are having a nice week so far :) I have a fun question for you guys...what is the best present you have ever received? Was it for Christmas? Just because?

My mom and I were talking today and somehow it came up that my brother ALWAYS gives me the best presents. He is so thoughtful and tends to really think outside the box. But the best gift I have ever gotten by far is the present my brother gave me when I graduated college.

I really like this band called Say Anything...in fact I was pretty much obsessed with them my last two years of college. Anywho, my bro contacted the lead singer of this band, Max Bemis, and asked him to write a song for me. Max agreed and had a few email conversations with my bro to figure out what he should write the song about- and that's how the song "Katelyn" was created :) How freakin sweet is that?!?!?

So now it's your turn, what is the best present you have ever received?
